Finance Magnates London Summit 2025: Q&A with Sam Horowitz

The Finance Magnates London Summit (FMLS) returns from 25–27 November 2025, bringing together leaders from financial markets, fintech, trading, payments, and crypto for the UK’s premier industry event.

Ahead of this year’s summit, we sat down with Sam Horowitz, Head of Liquidity at Finalto, to hear his thoughts on the macro forces shaping global markets and to get a sneak preview of his upcoming panel discussion.

What are you looking forward to at FMLS 2025?

The great breadth of industry attendees and content. FMLS gets broader every year on both fronts.

You are participating on a panel, ‘Economic Rifts between Trade Wars & Actual Ones’. Can you give us a taste of what the audience can expect?

Entertainment, I hope. And a little look at, frankly, one of the most interesting periods I can recall in my time in trading for the confluence of market forces and geopolitical drivers!

What macro events do you have your eye on?

I think the attempts to hamstring the Russian shadow fleet in the Baltic will be potentially hugely impactful in the medium term (and this falls neatly in the cracks between trade war and physical war).

Are there any significant risks or opportunities people may be overlooking?

I do wonder if we will start to see BTC crashes now start to generate higher levels of TradFi contagion, as the effects of the huge upswing in ETF adoption mean that these markets are now roped together on a more systemically impactful level.

If you’re attending FMLS, be sure to catch Sam’s panel live on the Vision Stage on 26 November at 2:00 PM. It’s a great chance to hear him dive deeper into the big-picture macro trends, political risk, and market dynamics shaping this especially exciting moment for global finance.

FMLS:25 attendees can find the Finalto team at Booth 51. Or contact sales@finalto.com to set up a meeting.
